Adasa and Fido sign collaboration agreement for Spain and will detect water leaks with AI
Adasa and FIDO join forces in Spain to offer leak detection services based on the FIDO AI platform, a world-leading technology powered by artificial intelligence (AI). “This collaboration reinforces Adasa's commitment to the design, development and implementation of innovative solutions for water management, enhancing our ability to detect and manage water losses, a critical issue at a time when water scarcity is of increasing concern,” says Albert Molina, General Manager of Adasa Sistemas.
FIDO's revolutionary technology uses artificial intelligence to detect water leaks with unprecedented accuracy:
- It analyzes patterns and sounds in water networks, identifying leaks quickly and efficiently, even detecting the smallest ones.
- A unique feature of FIDO AI is its ability to assess the potential size of hidden water leaks by analyzing pipes acoustically through AI. This reduces detection time, water losses and operating costs for water utilities, helping them to prioritize repairs on those leaks that are losing the most water.
- Additionally, its deployment is quick and practical, with small, easy-to-install sensors.
In a recent success story in El Prat de Llobregat, Spain, the benefits of implementing FIDO technology have been remarkable: “invisible” leaks that traditional methods failed to detect have been identified, resulting in significant water savings and improved service for the population.
Together with FIDO, Adasa continues to push the boundaries of innovation, offering efficient and sustainable solutions to tackle the growing challenges of water management in the face of emerging water shortages. This new technological partnership helps create more efficient water networks, ensuring that every drop of water is used effectively and not lost along the way.
"This partnership highlights Adasa’s commitment to providing cutting-edge water technology services in urban water,” said Molina. “By integrating FIDO’s unique AI technology with our expertise in providing services for water companies, we significantly boost our capabilities to differently address one of the most pressing challenges of our time. Together, we are better equipped to detect and manage water losses, ensuring a more sustainable future".
FIDO CEO Victoria Edwards is delighted to welcome Adasa to the company’s growing list of global partners. “Like many places in the world, Spain is facing water resilience challenges. In this context, water leakage is a waste our communities can no longer afford, and stopping it is the most environmentally sound way that utilities can source extra water. The unique capabilities of FIDO AI help utilities find their most significant leaks faster and more accurately, instantly making more water available and reducing the need to source, treat and pump new supplies. Adasa has huge expertise in this field and we are delighted to be working together with them in Spain.”
