Adasa demonstrates at the Contas conference how nutrient probes improve groundwater quality monitoring
Adasa has presented the benefits that can be obtained by applying digital solutions such as nutrient probes in the monitoring of groundwater quality at the Contas 2024 conference, held in Valencia from 29 to 31 October.
Specifically, Jordi Cros, Head on Innovation and Portfolio Development Manager, and Raúl Alonso, Water Sensors Sales Manager of Adasa, showed how the DropletSensTM nutrient probe helps in the direct and continuous control of nutrient pollution in groundwater in the session “Technological advances in monitoring systems of physical-chemical parameters for the measurement and control of groundwater pollution”.
DropletSensTM is an automatic, submersible, continuous-reading probe that safely, accurately and quickly measures.
It measures safely, accurately and quickly the concentration of nutrients, nitrates and nitrites, which determine the quality of groundwater and surface water.
It should be remembered that 30% of the water resources in Spain are groundwater, essential for rivers and ecosystems, the agricultural sector and water supply.
However, their quality is threatened by pollution, especially by nutrients such as nitrates, as well as pesticides and emerging compounds.
Therefore, it is imperative to deploy the latest technological advances, such as DropletSensTM nutrient probes, in diagnosis, prevention and application in the key application area of groundwater.
